Isn't this just so pretty? Wouldn't it be just totally AMAZING if I ever made something as nice as this? Why am I always the last one to hear about KAL's? I LOVE company... I am a joiner... I love showing off... and I am also a procrastinator and have a million thousand other things I have to do besides knitting one of these. So, how perfect that I found Are you a Charlotte Woman? Why? Because here are Sandy's first two rules:
1. You must start knitting Charlotte's web today. Or any day that suits you.
2. You must finish. Or not.
Now that suits me just PERFECTLY!
Oh... want more info on the pattern and the yarn? Click this:
"The Charlotte's Web Shawl is a great first knitted lace project due to its relative ease and speed of knit. Worked in hand-painted fingering weight yarn, this fringed wedge of undulating lace is both quick to knit and strikingly beautiful."
Here's Theresa's take on it as well...
One more thing, rather unrelated. How do those really talented other knit bloggers make/get/display those pretty buttons on their blogs? I WANT A PRETTY BUTTON, TOO! (Pretty Please?)
Bit by bit I'm thinking someday I might actually make a Charlotte too. Not yet...but someday. But did I miss something? Do you have your yarn for CW yet? I love seeing everybody's combinations as I roam the blogs.

I'm having a lot of fun with Charlotte. It's my first knitted shawl and foray into lacework. So far, so good. I like Sandy's KAL rules too. It did take a bit of reading for me to understand what was going on, but I did get it.
My DH designed my first blog buttons. Then I asked Donna at Yarn Tomato to design some for me

Missa designed my new blog banner and made another button for me.

Hi Beth! I'm glad you are joining the Charlotte women! :) This is a great first project. Be sure to read my May 21st entry for a few hints. I must warn you that Charlotte can be frustrating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is clear sailing! AND FUN! The confusion, I believe is due to a poorly written pattern, BUT, you didnt' hear it from me! :)
Just remember the golden rule! You MUST start today. Or whenever!
Nice to meet ya!
