Oh gosh... have I really not posted in almost a week? C'est terrible. (And that's about the extent of my French.) What has been going on this week? Let's see... I have been to 6 Tae Kwon Do classes so far. Mon-Wed-Fri at noon, my FAVORITE! and Tues I did both double-black and Family classes, and Thurs. nite just Family. What the heck? I'm unemployed and not getting any results in my job search, and I'm paying for TKD anyway, and it is LOADS of fun, and it is great exercise, so while it is summertime and I can get there a jillion times a week, I may as well.
No Democratic Convention to watch this week. No Olympics yet, although Zack (my 13-yo son) is psyched about watching the X-Games.
I've worked a little bit on Charlotte, mainly in the evenings upstairs in bed with the t.v. on. On the road, that is either at the orthodontist's office waiting for the kids, or in the car waiting to pick up J-Daughter (11 years old TOMORROW!) from day camp, or at the pool, I've done a few rows here and there on my odds 'n ends project (see previous post.) It is really looking cool!
I stopped into Karma's new location the other day. Not sure how I feel about it. Right now, the space is long and narrow and set up so you go from one small corner to another. Apparently, they will soon be taking over the space next door as well, so maybe it will open up a bit. They did have some nice pastries out in the back, but I was being good that afternoon, so I passed. (Not that I've been very good all week... I've had WAY too many calories, fat grams, carb grams this week than I should have.) The store is also now carrying some clothing in the back... artsy stuff, some of it looked very nice. And they did have some knitting bags/totes that were just delicious! Zipped tops, with lots of pockets and compartments inside that you could use for notions and needles, etc. My fave was the one in faux fur!

Hi, Beth. Thanks for dropping by my journal and for the suggestion re: tying yarns together for another free-wheeling technique. Kaffe Fasset advocated that for color knitting years ago and it works. I aim for a little more control but not by much!
