My health foods store has a Strivectin-alike for $65. I've been waffling over it. I will follow your experiences very closely. Please post updates as you go along.

Wow your resourcesful! Go you for spotting the identical product at HALF the price. Know of a cheap ball winder? lol I found one on ebay for 30% compared to the 45$ it cost for the same model in my LYS.. I don't consider it thrifty, I consider it a SMART thing. So go you and we all are crossing our fingers for you (and our future selves!)!

Hi Beth
Thanks for you comment - the questions you asked about the Noro/Colinette wrap I have posted to my blog ( - Love your blog I am reading back files now..... You will 'have' to knit the 'Kami' it is so easy and looks and fits great. I made two! :)

Beth, I've missed reading your blog! I've been buried. Mazel Tov on your son's Bar Mitzvah!
I want to see a picture of your poncho pronto! I'm thinking of making something very similar but making each row out of a different novelty yarn.
